What is “Veeam Vanguard” program?
Veeam Vanguard program:
A Veeam Vanguard represents Veeam brand to the highest level in many of the different technology communities in which they engage. Since 2015, Veeam Software has considered relevant to promote the values of Veeam (understand the products and are closest peers in IT). This program is both much like other award programs you may be familiar with yet different in their own way (for example Microsoft MVP, VMware vExpert Cisco Champion community). Some Vanguards are bloggers, partners, customers, influencers others are very active users (Veeam forum), others are Spiceworks where users share content and answers about Veeam, etc. Veeam Vanguards are people who embrace Veeam the best in their respective communities. They come from all backgrounds and are spread across different products. The best way to follow Veeam Vanguards is to follow the official Twitter account @VeeamVanguard and hashtag #VeeamVanguard.

My story and 2019 overview:
I’m a Data Protection & Governance Team Leader at Monaco Digital – Avangarde. I’m currently focused on Security and Data. Veeam Certified Engineer and recognized as an international Veeam Expert with Veeam Vanguard award. I have been sharing my experience and knowledge since 2014 through Training, Publications and Public Speaking at workshops and webinars. Author of Original-Network.com IT blog mainly focused on Data Protection & Governance, Security, Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions. I am responsible for generating Veeam content, evangelism, designing and production, and presenting at events. My function is also to support and strengthen the local sales teams and Channel aggregators dedicated to this market. I have experience in designing and managing IT services needed by companies to support their business.
Proof that the company’s growth is in full swing. Thanks to effective marketing, the company has seen steadily rising sales for 4 years! Last year, I have written an article about Microsoft Teams and the Digital Workspace in French for “SMART DSI” magazine (Edition 2019, March). This is a French IT magazine intended for IT Manager and Business Manager. The topic is “Microsoft Teams: How a company can embrace the Digital Workplace?”. Basically, the article is written in French. In the context of Digital Transformation and Digital Workplace, Microsoft Teams need to know takes a deep dive into Office 365, Microsoft’s fastest ever growing product. Microsoft is positioning Office 365 as being able to respond to key trends in the digital workplace: remote work from anywhere, bring your own device (BYOD), shrinking IT budgets, Cloud collaboration.

Last year I participated in “VeeamON” in Miami and Vanguards Summit for Vanguards global meeting.
Due to concerns around the coronavirus, I think all physical events will be complicated to maintain, especially VeeamON in Las Vegas. I feel the health & safety of customers is more important & we should focus on keeping free of the virus. Veeam has decided to bring VeeamON 2020 to you virtually in place of their face to face gathering in Las Vegas. Specifics around the event are being finalized, but mark June 17‑18 on your calendars.
