Hi, Veeam released Veeam Backup and Replication 10 Patch 1, This patch addresses a number of top support issues reported on the v10 GA build (Veeam B&R 10 Patch 1 Installation). This patch is fully supported by Veeam technical support, who is standing by to assist all early adopters.
This technical article provides a step by step guide to upgrade Veeam B&R 10 (build 10.0.0.4461) to Veeam B&R 10 build be version 10.0.0.4461 P1 (Veeam Backup and Replication 10 Upgrade). If you need to upgrade your Veeam Backup Server (v9.5) you can follow this article.
The list of the resolved issues in the KB article is complete, so study it carefully – as you may not actually need to install this patch depending on your deployment scenario and features usage. In other words, it’s not a mandatory patch as it does not fix any bugs that can impact every v10 environment out there. Nevertheless, if you do decide to install the patch, it is as easy as running an executable on the backup server.
This patch also marks the first time when Veeam leveraged the new auto-patching functionality of the Veeam Backup & Replication setup. In simple words, this allows to easily update the downloadable product ISO file to the latest patch level by simply including the latest cumulative patch executable in the dedicated ISO folder. Veeam v10 setup program knows to look into this folder at the end of the installation process, and automatically install any patches found there. Simple and brilliant! Going forward, the best practice will be to always download the latest ISO version before doing a new Veeam Backup & Replication install. To make it easy to differentiate between different ISO versions, Veeam is adding YYYYMMDD string at the end of the ISO file name, which represents the ISO release date. For example, the most current v10 ISO with KB3127 integrated has version 20200401. This ISO version will always be reflected in the support KB article about the actual patch, too.

For more security:
The first step is to realize a configuration backup of Veeam server (“Configuration Backup” menu on the screenshot below) and SQL database backup. If the Veeam Backup Server is deployed on a Virtual Machine, execute a backup of this VM with Veeam B&R or a snapshot.
Disable your backups jobs:
When the backup is done, you can close Veeam software and restart the Windows server (reboot). Basically, I recommend you to stop properly the Veeam services before upgrading (services.msc).
VBR- Veeam Backup & Replication:
Veeam Backup and Replication 10 Patch 1 (KB3127): You have to run the installation file “VeeamBackup&Replication_10.0.0.4461_KB3127”.
Once wizard is launched, click on “Next” button.
Click on “Install” button.
The upgrade took about few minutes to complete.
Once the upgrade completed, a prompt appeared to finalize the installation. Click on “Finish” button.
When the upgrade is done, I recommend you to restart properly the Windows server (reboot).
Veeam B&R 10 Patch 1 does not require new job creation or any architecture changes for your existing backups and replication to work. .
