Veeam 9.5 RTM should be available soon!

Windows Server 2016 became generally available last week, meaning many of you probably have the same question around its support by Veeam. More information about Veeam Availability Suite 9.5 here and on Veeam portal.

In the word from Gostev, with Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5, the goal is to sign off RTM build before the end of this month. Veeam did have some delay, mainly because the Windows Server 2016 RTM build appeared to have a number of show stoppers around Hyper-V 2016 backup. Veeam worked closely with Microsoft to investigate those, and Gostev said that most of them have now been resolved with the update to Windows Server 2016 RTM build. This update will be pushed normally through Windows Update, and if you’re a Microsoft partner – look for “Update 9D” package on Connect.

Veeam Availability Suite 9.5 first full availability solution!

In a few days, Veeam should release Veeam Backup and Replication 9.5 release, new release will allow you to use storage snapshot from Nimble Storage and restore or migrate anything from on-premises to Azure. Basically, you optimize resource allocation to drive scalability and minimize cost. More information about Nimble Storage and Cloud Azure here.

On 23 August, for the “Veeam’s Next Big Thing” keynote, Veeam has made a number of huge announcements around their plans for the future of availability specially integrating Windows Server 2016 and Hyper-V used in datacenters. Veeam in collaboration with Microsoft, will offer enhanced security and easier integration between versions of Windows Server 2016, Hyper-V 2016 and Microsoft enterprise applications. But the five major products and features announced that will be released around the time of Veeam B&R 9.5 and federated by the Veeam Availability Platform for the Hybrid Cloud which focuses on Enterprise Continuity, Workload Mobility and Compliance and Visibility.

Veeam – Error: Backup Console version ‘9.0.0.1491’ is…

Recently, I had a global backup error for one of my customer with Veeam Backup & Replication 9. We are seeing the following error which is causing backups to fail: “Error: Backup Console version ‘9.0.0.1491’ is not compatible with Installer service on host…“. Came across this error recently which is thankfully an easy fix but there is not a lot out there, the following is the error and the fix.
