Top 3 Most Viewed Posts in 2016

Hello,

Many thanks for your visit in 2016, I wish you all the best for the New Year 2017! Hope you have the energy and the element of good fortune we will all need to ensure a successful to the new year and a prosperous future beyond that. I would also like to thank Veeam (in particular Alexandra) which is the first supporter that sponsors this blog (our partnership will continue in 2017), and my partner Editions ENI (in particular Delphine) with which I should publish some works this year. Special thanks to “SMART DSI” magazine, we published two articles in french about Modern Backup in 2016, then thanks to Veeam France (in particular Olga) and Monaco Informatique Service – Avangarde, we organized two webinars and one workshop for presenting new Veeam Availability Platform!

2016 was a great year, the blog traffic is increased of 70% compared to last year:

Since 2014, the blog grew up! Basically, I have some wishes for 2017 but one of them is to run a marathon! So, hope everything will be alright and now my life cycle is training, work, warm up, training, hard work etc. 🙂

The three which were the most read through the year are:

1) Step by Step Guide Veeam B&R 9 Upgrade (v8 to v9)

On year ago, Veeam released Veeam Backup and Replication version 9, which contains some significant improvements such as Veeam Explorer for Oracle, EMC integration, Veeam Cloud Connect Replication, remote console, On-Demand Sandbox for storage snapshots and more. This article provided a step by step guide for an upgrade from Veeam B&R 8 to Veeam B&R 9. It was the post the most read in 2016!

2) Problem with LSI 12Gb SAS HBA card unknow with ESXi 5.1 & 5.5 (Dell)

The second post the most read last year is an article written in 2015. The fix is related to a VMware problem with LSI 12Gb SAS card. The card is unknown by the ESXi server, upgrading VMware ESXi firmwares (in 5.1 or 5.5) drops the driver of this card: LSI 12Gb SAS 9300-8e HBA (OEM). The card is not listed in the bios, you can checking the material inventory in iDRAC interface.

3) Guide to setting up a “Failover Plan” in Veeam B&R 8 (replication)

The third post is focused on Veeam Failover Plan. This feature allows you to schedule properly a failover from the production site to the backup site (disaster recovery plan). The guide will show you step by step on how to setup a Failover Plan in Veeam B&R 8. I wrote it 2 years ago so I will do an update soon as possible. For information, this article is referred on Veeam official Wikipedia page!
